Puppy!

Hello there! Here’s a little life update! We have a new family member, Harley! She’s a Great Dane puppy and the cutest, sweetest, naughty pup ever and I love her so much.

But it has been a huge adjustment. It’s challenging to balance time with the puppy, my 13-year-old family pet, and my service dog. The relationships I have with each dog are so different and how I spend my time with each dog is the polar opposite.

Cassie has been the sweetest and so tolerant of our newest addition. She’s taught Harley how to play, not bite her tail, and where to pee outside. But it’s been hard on her because it’s exhausting when a puppy consistently is bugging you after working all day so I’ve been trying to find time when it can be just me and Cassie.

Gus, the old man, has been slowly adjusting but keeping his distance. He’s not a fan of change… neither am I so I don’t blame him.

All that being said, adding a new dog to your family (especially a puppy) requires a LOT of attention. I’m so grateful for how seamless this transition has been. I couldn’t have done it without Cassie being such a good sport.

What’s your pet’s name?
