Traveling with a Service Dog

I recently visited a few colleges that I’ve been accepted to and was interested in attending. On this trip, we went on Lyft, trains, buses, and planes.

My service dog did AMAZING and I will forever be impressed with how she goes with the flow in every city, whether it’s the suburbs or the busy streets of New York.

We did have a few access issues (which is a whole other story and not what this blog is about), but other than that, our trip couldn’t have gone smoother.

When traveling with a Service Dog, you must pack their food, toys, boots, raincoat, vests, collars, leash, water bowl/bottle, poop bags, and all of the normal things you need to travel with.

Traveling with a Service Dog takes a lot of planning in advance with getting tickets, accessible seats, finding potty stops, etc but I wouldn’t be able to handle this chaotic trip without Cassie.
