Lyft

Something a lot of Service Dog handlers tend to have trouble with is public transportation. Both Uber and Lyft have tried denying access to me and my service dog for various reasons, despite them signing a contract previous to their employment.

This is just a reminder that disabled people also need rides too.

From lyft: “When it comes to transporting riders with service animals, drivers on the Lyft platform should remember one thing: Always Say Yes. You're required by the law and Lyft's policy to always accommodate service animals, even if you have an allergy, religious or cultural objections, or a fear of them.”

From uber: “In accordance with state and federal laws, as well as Uber's policies, service animals are permitted to accompany riders at all times. If you're traveling with a pet that's not a service animal, drivers may choose whether or not to allow the pet in their vehicle.”
