Dogs in Public
Pets are only allowed in pet-friendly places. Are there any exceptions?
If you are able-bodied and have a pet, there is no exception. You. may only take your pet to pet-friendly places. Check the store’s policy beforehand!
If you are able-bodied and have a service dog, you still can’t bring the dog with you. A service dog MUST be task trained to mitigate YOUR disability.
If you are disabled and have a pet, you can only bring the pet to pet-friendly places.
If you are disabled and have a task-trained service dog, you may bring the dog with you other than in sterile environments. This is the only exception to bringing a dog in public.
*Even if the pet is emotional support, they don’t have public access rights, only housing rights.
