My Dog’s Health = My Health

It’s weird to say my ability to function is based on a dog.. but it’s true.

When I first got Cassie we noticed a localized mass on her belly (turned out it was just a clogged duct). But at the time, we needed to get it removed. I purposefully scheduled a whole week off for Cassie to recover and me to recover.

She now only has 9 nipples which I think is funny and also unrelated. I have become so reliant on this dog, that when she gets sick, I have to put her first and make sure she gets the rest and medicine she needs, but I also have to figure out how I will move about the world without her.

Thankfully she’s only gotten sick twice and recovered quickly both times, but it can be scary when your medical equipment becomes faulty.

I got a compliment recently saying “That is the fittest dog I’ve ever seen” and it was the BEST compliment. I work very hard to ensure Cassie is in the best possible condition. I take care of her to take care of me. I don’t know what I’d do without this dog.

Anyway, be sure to read past blogs and come back next week!
