Intrinsic VS Extrinsic Motivation

Something I find extremely interesting is Intrinsic vs. extrinsic motivation and its effects. When you are internally motivated to do something, it is a lot easier and more fulfilling. Whereas, if you are doing something to meet another person’s expectations, it can feel more of a weight. This isn’t to say being extrinsically motivated is bad and is something you should avoid, moreover, it’s important to find the things that motivate yourself from the inside. What gets you excited and passionate? What makes you feel fulfilled? Keep doing that. It’s so easy to get caught up with what others want — I know the people pleasers out there can relate — so be sure to reflect on what you can do for yourself.
