Denied Access

I want to preface this blog with how fortunate I am to have the resources to have a Service Dog. That being said, life with a Service Dog isn’t always easy.

Being told you’re not allowed somewhere because you’re disabled and have medical equipment that isn’t very common… sucks. Being separated from others is isolating.

I have to advocate for myself and continue working with these people who look at me with disgust. I have to educate people who don’t know the ADA and don’t care to. As much as I love educating people, there is no reason to waste that energy when someone doesn’t want to learn.

I want to encourage you, even if you don’t own a Service Dog to be aware of the laws and advocate for disabled individuals. It takes so much energy and time out of our days. Read more below at the link “ADA”.
